We take every effort to ensure that the information contained within our website is correct and up-to date. We reserve the right to change, amend or update any information at our discretion.

Colour Information & Image Representation

All images used on manchestercandle.com are for illustrative purposes only and may not accurately represent the actual product being shown. The colours of products depend on the monitor you use and may not be accurate.

Distance Selling

In accordance with the new E.U directive on distance selling (Distance selling Act regulations 2000) you have the right to cancel your order within 7 working days of receipt of the goods. If you cancel the order after the delivery process has begun, you will be liable for any services included, such as, postage and packaging and the return postage. Please ensure that the goods are returned as delivered by us, un-opened and fit for resale. Upon receipt of the notice of cancellation we will refund the relevant part of the purchase price within 30 days. You can shop with us with complete peace of mind. If there is any reason that you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, just return it to us within 28 days of delivery for a no quibble refund or exchange. We will not replace or refund items that have been opened or any seals have been broken unless the product is faulty and does not comply with the selling contract. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please include a brief note including your order number, name, address and an explanation why you wish to send the item(s) back. Any parcel being returned damaged due to insufficient packing by the customer may receive a part refund at the discretion of the Management team.

  • If you require any special delivery request please do not hesitate to contact sales@manchestercandle.com and we will supply you with a quotation for your requirements.
  • Prices for full pallets are quoted ex-works. We will contact you via e-mail with a delivery quote. This is calculated using a postcode system.
  • Delivery is within the UK only. If you live outside the UK, you can still place an order for delivery within the UK. Just enter the UK address in the correct page at the checkout.

Tracked Delivery:

If the delivery company is unable to leave the package due to the customer not being available to take the parcel or sign for delivery, a card will be left with collection details from your local office or to re-arrange delivery. Should the customer not contact the delivery company within 7 days, the parcel will be sent back to us and the customer could be liable for re-delivery costs.

If the customer decides they wish a refund, we will refund the card minus any costs we have incurred. We will inform the customer of this prior to doing the refund.

Loss of Parcel

If you have not received your order within 10 days please e-mail sales@manchestercandle.com and the order status will be provided. If the order has been misplaced by the delivery company re-delivery will be organised.

Change of delivery address:

If you have placed an order then you can't change the address details. If you have made a mistake and realise before you complete the sale, you can edit the details and change it.

Incorrect item received:

If you receive a wrong product please contact sales@manchestercandle.com. A collection and re-delivery/refund will be arranged unless an alternative agreement is made between both parties.

Wrong item ordered

In the event that you have ordered the wrong item and you wish to send the item back to us, we will refund your card minus any costs we may have incurred, we will email you regarding this prior to doing the refund As a consumer you are protected by the normal laws of England, in particular The Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 (c.35) and the Consumer Protection Act 1987 (c.43)

Damaged Products

We take every precaution to ensure your order will arrive in pristine condition but, sometimes things go wrong and get damaged. If this happens to you please do not hesitate contacting us by email at sales@manchestercandle.com and we will advise you on sorting the problem out. For damaged items being returned please take precautions against additional damage. Upon receipt and inspection (Photographic evidence may be required to support a claim) your account/credit card will be credited. Please include your order number, name, address and telephone number.

Payments:

We accept all major credit and debit cards as listed, Mastercard, Maestro International and Domestic, Visa Credit, Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Solo and JCB on the site. We also accept Cheques and Postal orders made payable to Manchester Candle Co. Ltd - send to The Manchester Group, Kenwood Rd, North Reddish, Stockport, SK5 6PH

We only accept payments in British Pound Sterling:

  • Once your order is received, we go through routine verification processes to ensure that the credit card is verified.
  • We charge in real-time, which means, that we automatically charge your credit card when the order comes through.
  • No order will be fulfilled until payment has been received and cleared.

Orders that have been paid by cheque or postal order will have additional delays as we will have to wait for your payment to arrive. Your cheque will have to be cleared through our banking system, which can take a further 5 working days. Postal orders have no clearing period so your order will be processed once we receive the payment.

We’re passionate about the service we offer and that includes our approach to security. Maintaining your privacy is a priority which is why we use Sage Pay (formerly Protx), a third party payment specialist. They’re the largest independent payment processor in the UK and are compliant to the highest level in payment card industry data security standards (PCI DSS). So you can be assured that all the information you enter is safe and secure.
 
We won’t capture or store your card details and once you have entered your card number into a payment page securely hosted by Sage Pay, all sensitive data is encrypted and sent to the banks for processing.
 
Once your transaction has been submitted, you will be automatically redirected back to our site where you will receive a confirmation regarding your order.
 
Through Sage Pay, we have also enabled 3D Secure (Verified by Visa and SecureCode by MasterCard). This is an additional check to confirm no one but you is using your card. This box will appear and ask you to enter a selection of characters from your password e.g. first, third and fifth character. So don’t be alarmed if this additional check appears.

Pricing & VAT

The prices shown on this Web site are in UK £ (Pounds Sterling) and are exclusive of VAT which is charged at the current UK rate of 17.5%.

Product Availability:

If an item is not appearing on the website it may mean that we have sold out. Please email sales@manchestercandle.com for information about anticipated delivery dates.

We are happy to reserve out of stock items for you. We try hard to keep all our products in stock but, sometimes items sell faster than we can predict. If something you order is not in stock, we will let you know when we expect to send it to you. You will not be charged until the goods leave the warehouse and we will only charge you postage once per order, even if we send you more than one parcel.

Non acceptance of an order may result of one of the following:

  • Our inability to obtain authorisation for your payment.
  • The product you have ordered being unavailable from stock.
  • Fraudulent activity - Any person attempting to make fraudulent credit card transactions will be reported to the Police and the Credit Card Company without exception.
