The wax

It’s the high quality of their materials that make Embrace candles so special. The main part of the candle - generally called the wax – consists of 100% stearin (Natural Vegetable wax), 100% pure paraffin or a combination of stearin and paraffin, depending on the type of candle. 

Naturally white wax can be coloured through and through or coated to
produce candles in different hues. Adding dye to the wax alters its composition and can cause the candle to burn less cleanly, producing more soot. That’s why Embrace coloured candles have over-dipped coatings: the coating adds a rich, glossy colour while maintaining the clean-burning properties of the candle. 

 

The wick

Embrace wicks are 100% cotton of the finest quality, produced in countries that are renowned for their premium quality cotton, such as Egypt. The number of threads in the wick is selected to suit the candle in question. The diameter of the wick must match the size and type of candle to ensure that the flame will burn as cleanly as possible. The weaving method is also chosen with care to ensure the best possible result.
